I know that things have been tough in the Marine Industry lately, and people are looking for cheaper mooring options ...

but ...

Who nicked the marina, and where did all the boats go?
There is a suspicious wake coming from the left hand side

Aha, making my berth a tad deeper as requested. All is forgiven.

DREDGE AND BENEFICIAL DISPOSAL
Mariners are advised that a maintenance dredge of Sparkes Marina will commence Monday 15 February 2010.

Dredging will be undertaken by the 22m backhoe dredger Witton Two, which will be towed to site by the 19m tug Wilgard. Dredged material will be transported to the disposal site by the 42m split hopper barge Split Two.

All vessels will display the lights and shapes required by the collision regulations and maintain a listening watch on VHF Channels 14 and 16.

Dredged material will be released at the Treloar site in the harbour entrance in position: 50° 46´.895 N, 00° 56´.050 W. Disposal of dredged material will take place during the period HW –6 hours to HW –2 hours and will follow the tides through the full 24 hour period. A proportion will also be disposed of at the Nab Tower Spoil Grounds.

Mariners are requested to give these vessels a wide berth in the confined waters of the harbour entrance and in the channel leading to Sparkes Marina.

These works are expected to continue for four weeks; cancel this LNTM 15 March 2010.
