where can I find small re-useable hydraulic fittings and hose ?

some of the hydraulic hoses on my passerel have 1/8" BSP fittings,
this is a very small size, that papparently is not that common.
I found a good supplier here locally in Belgium, who does custom made hoses only.
BUT
for one function
the passage for the hoses is too small for passing the hose with fittings fitted,
so I need to crimp or fit the connectors on site

originally re-useable fittings had been used, so I would like to use the same sort of fittings,
makes things a lot more easy in case of a problem or a leak. I can do the repairs myself and on site
also for the trimm flap cylinders I could use a similar solution.

the hose that is used is type SAE100 R7 (thermoplastic hydraulic hose)

can someone advice a supplier for this ?
especially the re-useable 1/8" fittings
or "self crimp" 1/8" fittings would also be ok
 
Reusable ends are readily available from many hydraulics suppliers and 1/8th BSP is generally the smallest size they do, so find a local supplier that does them in small quantities near to you so you can go and see one installed correctly and do it yourself.

In terms of crimping kits, most would be for industrial users and businesses using a lot of fittings and pipes where fittings been to be attached; but many are either powered by compressed air or an external hydraulic power source and as they need the dies for the crimping machine they are expensive. I have an Enerpac unit and a large compressor to power it and it crimps up to 1 1/2 BSP fittings with the correct dies fitted and these need a little skill to use for uniform crimps.

my local supplier has field installable and reuseable fittings for this pipe size.
was there today buying something else, asked him brought them out to show me how they work.
have a look at the pics.

Effectively it's a thread on the inside of the thick long piece where the hose "bolts" on.
There's also a thinner thread on the other side so that the thin piece goes through, bolts and secures the connection.
The other side of the thin piece is a straight pipe that you can attach whatever ending you want.
He does have 1/8BSP I guess you want a female ending right?
the pipe you want is 8mm outside dia and rated to 300bar, correct?

Now, only catch is that these are galvanised steel not ss.
I guess you overcome that by having the nice shinny ss piece on the outside thread the pipe inboards and fit the galvanised bit out of reach/salt by the pump.

I'm going to be in Brussels tomorrow Friday lunch time, on meetings till Sat early afternoon and leaving Sunday afternoon, could bring a couple with me and give it to you.
Let me know if you're around as I'll have to get them before 4pm EET today

We stock re-usable fittings but unfortunately they arent suitable for R7 hose , its something i have never come across as R7 is a thermoplastic hose and higher pressure rated than R2T "normal" hydraulic hose so it would defeat the purpose to use re-usable fittings.

do you have another hose-type that fits in the re-useable fittings ?
oil pressure for these functions <100bar
I don't need specifically R7 (that is what was used on some)
but the OD needs to be fairly small, (8mm max)
and the fittings are 1/8"

thanks for your offer on bringing some of these fittings,
for this model, one needs to add the adapter from bicone to BSP fitting,
that part I can find easyly, but its makes the essambly quite long,
this is what is used a lot currently in the boat,(all SS) but can't get the same components anymore,
I prefer a all in one fitting solution, and if possible in SS
and direct from a good source where I can order fast and easy..

If I can't find them, I'll make a list what I need and order this via you in Greece ;-)

we dont sorry , its too small for us. If its only 100 bar you might be able to do it with the plastic pipe , thats whats on my passarelle. ASAP supplies do this pipe and the fittings to suit it.

that is interesting thanks !

is that the HS04N pipe, used on steering systems ?
we have that pype on the throttle and gear controls for the engines, and need renewal,

and would be usefull on the passerel,
do you know how much pressure this type can have ? its appears that its only 15..20 bar ?

the deploy function on my passerel is less than 100 bar, but perhaps more then 20bar
(just gut feeling, I need to check that if possible)
