Where can I find a boat owners manual?

I have a 1969 Whitcraft houseboat/Coastal Cruiser, I am trying to find a source that might have a manual for my boat. I have tried all the common sites housebating forums and boating websites but can't seem to locate one. Does anyone know of where I can find out of print manuals?

No such thing exists. It is only in recent years that any sort of manual has been provided by boat builders. You will need to find details of everything on your boat separately.

having a manual or set of diagrams of the plumbing, electrics, etc is an essential part of owning a boat. (Counsel of perfection, I suppose !)

Best to draw up your own from scratch, with all the cabling and pipes clearly labelled. Google Sketchup is a pretty good and free program to do it for you.

As said, very unlikely that any such thing exists. Why do you want one? If you have a specific question about your boat just ask......someone will probably know the answer.

Edit: Is this an Inland WaterWays thing? Do you HAVE to have a manual for compliance?

Yes essentially all boats aree the same and are really more defined by the equipment in them. Further a boat that old has probably had many replacements of systems.
So just follow your nose. I know in the case of my boat with about 300 copies made it is said no one boat is identical to another in what is supposed to be same model. ie every one of the 300 is different. So definitely no manual. good luck olewill
