Where can I buy Lanolin near Portsmouth?
We launch on Thursday and this year I thought I would try coating the prop with lanolin, however I cannot figure out where I can get any
I tried a couple of chandlers and the pharmacy in Tescos and they looked at me as if I was mad

If all else fails....

If all else fails, Ambassador Marine, makers of the Stripper, sell it as "Henley's Propeller Protector". They're just up the road in Winchester.

I'd think twice about bothering with it. I tried it for one year, well the 2nd half of a year actually and ended up with a clean set of duoprops at the year's end. Suitably impressed I applied it again early the next year and by August the props were badly fouled, so I no longer bother with it. I just daubed it on mind you, so didn't "burn" it on as some people suggest you should.

I got mine "Anhydrous lanolin BP" from a small local chemist who ordered it in. I suspect the hight street/supermarkets won't be bothered to order it specially... it would probably seize up their stocking systems.
Use together with a blowlamp or hot air gun. Spatula the goop on the warmed prop then melt it on. You will be left with a slightly cloudy transparent film when its cool.
I did mine in the spring of 2003 and its still clear.
Also good for lubricating rigging turnbuckles.
