I recently asked about IP 24s on this forum. I had a few responses including one from an IP 24 owner in Holland (I think). He has now written to me directly telling me that he is interested in finding out who has the original moulds which were bought by Hayling Yacht Co in 1985. Apparently Hayling no longer have them so, where are they?

Anyone know?

Sometime in the 80s, I can't remember when exactly, I saw some moulds marked "Island Plastics "in Bembridge IoW. They were near the back corner of the marina.

Thanks Steve, Well, you never know those could be the ones - however it would have to be late 80's I guess.
Is there anyone in or around Bembridge who could see if they are still there? - long shot I know.

I occasionally walk around with the dogs over that way though don't know when it is next likely to be. I will have a look when I am over there, but I did notice last time that there had been a lot of "tidying up" around the boatyard.

I have a feeling that they may have gone to B Cory Boatbuilders at Sandwich, letterly known as Invicta.

If I am right, the moulds were much modified and became the basis for the Kent range.

Sadly they went out of business a couple of years ago.
