I am at a loss guys, the fans on both sides are knackered and need replacing but cant seem to see how you get to them. The boat is a 1997 Sealine 420 / F44

Can you follow the ducting from the vents back to the bilge? My fan is near the port engine bilge, in-line within the ducting. Sorry, not a Sealine though.

There is no ducting visible, I have an idea where the fans are but cant see how to get to them. guess when the build these boats they are not bothered about us poor owners 13years on!

Interesting. Without ducting, how can the blowers vent out of the engine room? Have you tried calling Sealine? They might be able to help. Other posters have commented on a good response, even on more "mature" boats.

However, I'm not convinced that Sealine design particularly well for through life maintenance. I love the SC35, however, for any major engine work, you have to cut out a far chunk of the superstructure, adding a lot of cost, plus the hassle of getting it all back in the right place without rattling annoyingly.

Did you ever find your fans? I'm new to the 420 and can't find them. Next, I'll try to remove the hull vent covers and hope to see a fan motor.
