Where am I?

Not sure whether to ask where this is or not? Mind you I thought some of my previous were a bit obscure and they lasted only a few minutes before some one got it! This picture was taken a week ago.

Apologies for not only being in the picture but obsuring my rank/rate but I'm pretty open about most of my life on this forum....

So its not in Europe.... And if you can see the cross on the headland that marks this cape, you might also see that its made of mesh to stop it being blown over by the wind. Have I made it too easy now?

Don't know but will deduce that it is southern hemisphere due to lack of extreme outdoor clothing and no snow or ice .. wild guess S Georgia

Not Good Hope. Sorry the cross seems to have been lost in the image transfer. Its on the prominent peak centre photo.

But yes its Southern Hemisphere..

I saw one yacht in the region and that was whale watching...

There's a rock where an RN warship went aground nearby, but it wasn't called Nottingham and its not Australia.

Its not an island (although there are lots of islands nearby) which rather rules out Oz or NZ. By process of elimination you can now tell which continent....

Well.........if you're in the southern hem' and your now out of your whites, I'd say you were either well south off the Patagonian coast or heading north up the south Chilean. You could of course have nipped outside quick to have your pic' taken off the Antartic coast. Got the T shirt myself years ago, so am quite interested.

Cape Horn?

For those interested the picture was taken a couple of hundred miles or so North of Cape Horn in the Magellan Channel.

The Cape in the picture is the Southernmost tip of the American continent. In other words, swim ashore and you can walk to anywhere on the Americas land mass from here.

Anyone name the Cape?
