Jim

How about using the time to fit a mainsheet traveller fo GR whilst she's out of action?

We find that a bit of twist in the main can give us an extra 1/2knot in light winds and dropping it to leeward in a blow is our first reef. Makes it easier to balance the rig and avoid undue strain on the 'udder.

Just a thought!

Re: When you can\'t go sailing

I have noticed that when the wind is too strong for dinghy sailing, the board sailors appear. I usually put the bicycle in the car as an alternative in case my sailing group prefer a cycle ride.
When I used to trail ride we rode whatever the weather.
Another good alternative might be to paddle a canoe in sheltered water, (windage is surprising)

Re: Pedalo

I'm probably going to Poole for Saturday evening - New Forest would be easy for me... it is more or less flat isn't it?

<hr width=100% size=1>my opinion is complete rubbish, probably.
