My season never ends either....unfortunately two weeks ago on our last trip, I did exactly that, tripped...injured my shoulder badly...been doing physio ever since. According to the forecast, Tuesday will have such benign conditions that it’s suitable even for a one-armed man??

I'm out today for some cod hunting. Boat gets pulled out for a month in mid February, then off to go plaice hunting. My season never stops really! Just the way I like it!

I go out when I can. I think those that have a season do not help them selves. Very often linked to OCD

1-2 weeks after easter. Then a 1hour sail in the Blackwater to test all the usual bits- Have I rigged it right? is the engine running Ok? etc
Then come the 1st 2 BHs I will do a couple of jaunts up to Shotley & possibly Ipswich, with club members. Spring BH I am arranging for a group from the sailing club to go to Ostend, with a quick visit to Middleburg, as a taster of the canals, for some of the members who have never done it before.

This winter is our first with the new boat and in a dry stack so no real season for us. Last used the boat on the 10th Dec and hope to be out in a week or so, work and weather allowing. I did bring the battery home to fully charge and condition So refitting is the only job that really needs do before next use.

People have different circumstances with planned maintenance and flights to and from boat. Very rarely associated to OCD.

Your opinion of course. I know several people who put there boat in and take it out at exactly the same time of year and they do the same processes every year at the same time of year. Mostly Driven by OCD. I know one person who broke the first Lockdown rules just so he could anti foul his boat at the same time as he always does. So I would differ from you view

Some people have other seasons to fit in...like ski season. Distance is usually the difference between year round boaters and seasonal ones. I am fortunate to have the boat at the end of the street...yours, if I’m not mistaken, are even closer! Also we are not encumbered by work commitments or children in education.
Anyhow...tomorrow we cast off....

... or the dates for available lifts at the boatyard.
I cannot launch 9000kg of boat on my own.

Also there are other things to sort out during the Winter.
Plus a break from boating makes me re-boaterised when it all starts up again.
