Last year I met a fellow boater that had a rucksack that converted into a wheelie bag. It was based on an aluminium frame and could be converted into a solid wheelie bag by folding out the wheels and pulling out the handle. I have been searching for one for ages anyone seen anything similar.

I tried the gloves, and they seem ok, the jacket looks reasonable from what I could see after manhandling the packaging.

I went mad and bought, gloves, rope, boathooks, deck scrubs, waterproof cameras and torches, don't know if I will ever use it all but it was cheap!

Yep, we'll be there too tonight with a fist full of pound notes hoping to buy lots of goodies!

Regarding the wheelie bag things, we got some last year and although we bought cheap and have killed them (6 trips+ to Spain and ram packed!) we are going to get some more this year as they are great for on the boat. Fold flat to base when empty and if you get the ones with the buckles on the side that let you squidge if all down, it doesn't matter what size load you have so the bigger the bag the better when you are buying!

Check for ground clearance. This is how we killed ours cos when loaded it's bottom (between the wheels) bummed out and dragged. We did walk a LONG way though!! When we get our next ones we are going to reinforce the bottom between the wheels so it doesn't happen again, so just a thought!

Tesco have some really basic, what they call a 'beach bag' which is a drag rucksack but with not many pockets or tie down thingies - about £9.?? and Matalan have some that are £14 that are more of a sustantial bag with pockets etc and fairly decent wheels.

Hope that helps!
