What\'s wrong with a white bottom ?

Mr B won't let me choose white for Tommy's bottom when she comes out for her annual wash and brush up. What's wrong with white for goodness sake...... it looks lovely.

Far better to have a black bottom so all those dirty oily streaks can't be seen,

certainnly for us yachtie types the erodeable type of antifoul contains a certain amount of copper content. This tends to turn the antifoul a shade of green wher in contact with the air. i.e at the waterline. However you power people would use the hard..and expensive stuff and these especially teflon base should remain good in colour. Whats this weed anyway, surely you go too quick to give it chance to grow!!

Pussy's carpets are no longer pink. There are black, with "Pink Pussy" embroidered on them in bright pink !

I don't think Mr B would approve of Tommy having a pink bottom ...... and Mr Riva would turn in his grave.

only one problem, it wont stay white. my props are white, then i can see from the surface when they need cleaning.

There is some good evidence that the darker colour antifouls are more effective.

I have always been led to believe that dark couloured pigments are softer than light colours. Not sure that this applies to antifoul though.

An 'expert' informed me that white or light bottoms encourage weed and marine growth , dark bottoms don't. Boring answer I know but probably correct.
