What's the difference Gennaker / Crusing Chute

Can someone tell me definitively ? What is the difference betweena Cruising Chute and a Gennaker.

My understanding is that a Gennaker works closer to the wind.. I can't find anything that will tell me absolutely where on starts and one finishes or how much overlap there is.

Or am I wrong and they are the same thing ??

North offers 4 different cuts, G0, G1, G2 and G3 depending on how high you want to go. It calls them gennakers. But all but the G0 look like cruising chutes to me.

The honest answer is that you can cut any sail with different degrees of belly and shape for different points of sail and wind strengths. So you dont just get one gennaker - you get code zero, 1,2,3 etc. And all are really members of the genoa family along with the cruising chute
