What\'s the BEST thing about living aboard?
After listing a whole heap of negatives.. here's some positives /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif
Waking up to the most amazing views EVERY DAY!
Better weather than the UK
Regular storms- so you know when to be prepared
Cheaper cost of living in general
The wonderful people you meet and who are willing to lend a hand where they can
A healthier way of life (lugging water onto the boat builds muscles!)
Discovering new ways of doing things and being a part time inventor/ discoverer.
Being in one place for some time and on foot means you quickly discover all the things you need within a short distance and you can tell everyone else about them too!
Being able to help all the new arrivals and advise them on where to tie up, where to go to book in and who to ask for help.
Discovering new ways to cook and eat
Becoming fabulous at fixing things (toilet, cooker, pumps, electrical faults etc)
Having open air showers first thing in the morning
Being stared at longingly by people when you do the mundanest thing on deck (hanging up washing in particular)
Finding out all the things to do and places to go that are free!
Anyone else got anything to add? /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
