Whats it worth?

My parents are thinking of giving up boating after almost 40 years, and they have a 9 metre berth at Los Nietos in the Mar Menor on the SE coast of Spain, that they would no longer need. It has approx 5 years left before renewal. They have been advised to include their Dufour 2800 in the sale, so they don't end up with a boat with nowhere to keep it!
Any of you have any thoughts or ideas?

Umm, I would have thought this is quite easy to calculate. Find out what the marina's annual mooring charge would be for that length of berth and factor in 5 yrs of inflation at say 5% pa. Nobody's going to pay you up front for 5yrs of mooring unless the marina is very full so you're then going to have to discount the figure to reflect that. Worth talking to brokers in the marina as they may have an opinion on what its actually worth and be able to advertise it for sale
The value of the Dufour can be guaged from searching ads for similar in the Boats for Sale part of this site. Its worthwile advertising the boat with the berth but be prepared to sell each separately if necessary
