What's It Worth?

Raytheon RC 630 plotter in as new condition boxed with manual and GPS antenna. no chart card

A friend of mine has one, he never fitted it to his boat, now he wants rid, and asked me what's it worth, I have no idea, but said I'd ask the wise people of the forum.

So, what d'you reckon?

1,Don't know, the 630 bit doesn't tell you whether it is or not?

3,Don't know, registered with whom? sorry to be so vague, didn't think to ask him these questions, just thought to take its make and model no. would be enough, I'll phone him and ask the questions.

I sold a 62o mono via the forum for £100 . I have a 630 on my boat. To be honest it's a good 10 inch plotter but lacks all the features of today's plotters , it can be integrated to sea talk but in my view isn't that easy to work and redraw times are very slow when panning in and out the chart scales. I'd say probably worth 250 to 300 max

I bought a RC530 from EBay for about 220. No idea what the difference is between the two models but it should give you an idea as to what you can expect.
