Thanks to everyone for your support so far, and in answer to the question I can only say that loads of things are going on, so I thought it might be best to let you know first hand rather than only those that use Facebook finding out.
First of all, our target has now been achieved in that we only serve quality food, even down to our steak and ale pie, which has now passed its taste test so will be on the menu from tonight. You heard that first here too
The menu as it is now, well, maybe best post it as a pic' so here goes
And this menu will change as things are added and taken away
We have more on our chalk board but have decided to try and avoid having too many things at any one time, I get confused easily by having too many choices
Managed to get this one of the outside during the (now clearing) spell of snow, think it looks rather pretty myself
Now to what's next. Well, first we have the dreaded Christmas period, and for Christmas Eve we hope to get enough bookings to justify our target of laying on a disco for later in the evening, so if you're at a loss over what to do, it's party on down over here
Also hope to lay on a band for Boxing day but we'll see how this develops first
After that we have New Year when we're also hoping to arrange for entertainment, and then comes the main purpose of this post
Burns Night will be celebrated in style here, and we already have some bookings so get in quick as we're restricting covers to enable us to maintain quality. The Honourable Jim Dew of this parish has agreed to be The Master of Ceremonies for this auspicious occasion, and as BaggyPipes is otherwise engaged we shall locate a Piper of suitable qualities instead
Unfortunately, due to the fact that we are restricting numbers we will probably have to ask for a deposit for each booking, and hope everyone understands the need for this
I know Jim is compiling a list of those wishing to book through him, so I'm hoping he will be in a position to carry on with this if anyone on here wishes to book. Afraid running this place seems to be taking as much time and effort as I used to be able to spend on here
As soon as possible we will need a list of those booking, to allow suitable invitations to be posted out
So names and addresses would be handy folks
Over to your host, Jim Dew, Master of Ceremonies
