What\'s happened to Metcheck?

Hi,

Seeing the link to the Met Office Gadgets (which work OK btw), it prompted me to look at the forecast for the weekend - not to go sailing as the boat is out of the water now - but to look at the rumoured gales I saw yesterday.

But what has happened to Metcheck - none of my links work and when I go to Metcheck.com it's all dead.

Anyone know why?

Yesterday they said it was out of service for some updating (or something) but said it would be back some specified time early this morning (03:00 ??) I guess things have not gone according to plan!

Yesterday they offered Weather 2 U as an alternative

I thought this was going to be a post about how bad the Metcheck forecasts have been recently. I have usually found Metcheck predictions to be better than the rest for East Coast sailing but this autumn even the BBC has been better. Has anyone else noticed this or have I just been unlucky?

I haven't noticed. BBC coastal forecasts are not bad - more relevant than inshore.

Metcheck now displaying a back soon sign - working on servers.

But the forecast for the weekend is utterly pants /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif.
