Will you be having Christmas aboard this year?

Everyone knows what a typical English Christmas dinner is but what will you be having?

What is a Christmas meal for the locals where you are?

Incidentally can you get Turkeys in Turkey and Greece in Greece?

We are in France and will be having the full English cooked between our boat and another boat.

Whatever you are having and wherever you are have a wonderful day and may next year bring you some more wonderful cruising memories.

We're in Crete, anchored in Spinalonga lagoon and will be heading ashore to join some shore-based friends for roast pork and beef with all the trimmings, as long as this b****y wind calms down!

Merry Christmas to you and yours.

It is a nice warm sunny day here in Brazil, in a few hours I will fire up the bbq and grill some ridiculously large steaks, drink some caipirinhas and try not to get a sunburn.:p

I have hungarian goulash, and some bread to dip in it. Also, some cheese and some crackers.

I also bought myself a telly tuner for my laptop, but I can't pick up any signal in the docks, which is annoying.

Marinaded pork tenderloin on the barbecue later today. Bit wierd palm trees with lights and elf hats in the mid 20s.

Cretan fare

We went to our favorite Cretan taverna Christmas Eve and as well as enjoying a wonderful Christmas Eve meal we asked Manolis to cook us some take-away food for Christmas Day. So our Christmas Day breakfast was; sliced country-sausages with egg-fired potatoes. Lunch consisted of; Pork in a delicious orange sauce cooked with potatoes, prunes and figs - roast turkey with chestnut-rice - and horta (a sort of spinach-line vegetable). Lots of local wine too of course!

No cooking and only a little washing up, so more time to enjoy "It's A Wonderful Life", "White Christmas" and "Love Actually". A great day....!
