Can anyone advise me on how old my Yamaha speedboat engine is please?

As you can see from here that model ran for many years yamahaparts.co.uk/70hp suggest you contact Yamaha with your serial number to get the year. I expect you can find it on line somewhere but probably a phone call will be quicker.

There is the drop test, drop it overboard for ten seconds ,recover start up if it runs its pre 1990.
