You put your boat which you have just picked up and had cleaned in a new mooring, which is availble from the moorings and agreed on. Come back the following week to find that the boat owner next to you has moved it across the other side of the mooring right under a huge willow tree and you boat is now cake in leaves and sap.

Strong words with the marina owner about "why?". He gives you all the cleaning gear to remove the deposits. Move the boat back and secure with a chain and padlock; and (ahem); move the other guys boat under the willow.

SWMBO says "Sounds like Saxon Moorings!"

Were you allocated that exact mooring or did you ' pick your own ' ?

Could you have been mistaken about what side of the pontoon to set yourself up on , and have inadvertantly taken someones existing mooring ? They have arrived back after a few days away and there is a boat on their mooring ? So they've moved you ... as i expect most people would.

I would ascertain the situation before you go in guns blazing .

I know what you're thinking — "Did he fire six shots or only five?" Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement, I've kinda lost track myself. But, being this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world and would blow your head clean off, you've got to ask yourself one question: "Do I feel lucky?" Well, do ya, punk?

I'm with this gentleman.

The situation is wholly unacceptable, and the guilty party would pay dearly..... /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

I see ....

Might be an idea to have a gentle word with the boat owner who moved yours and explain , and ask him to contribute to a cleaning , or ask him if he might like to give you a hand to wash it ?

If you are going to have to moor next to him , it might be best not to fall out ....
