Have a blue hulled centaur that needs painting and want it off white, not in your face sunglasses tacky brilliant just been painted white but a nice used pleasant off white. Does anyone have the name for such a colour I can ask for.
Considering using one of these brands, Toplac, sandtex exterior 10 year paint , tekaloid or dulux weathershield. Will any undercoat suffice.
The hull is sanded back to glass ready to be painted. Also the way the weather is I probably need a paint that will be ok in 5degrees!

If you decide to use Weathershield, etc, you'd be best going to a trade outlet and buying the "trade" version which is likely to have more of a solvent base than the ordinary stuff they sell in DIY sheds.

Personally, I'd use Toplac, which has 2 different whites in the colour chart. 5 degrees (surface and air temperatures) is the absolute minimum for applying Toplac, and the paint itself is supposed to be a minimum of 15 degrees. Painting in this weather isn't going to be a great idea, and you'll have the risk of poor gloss resulting from condensation. International recommend using 3 coats of Interprotect on aged gelcoat, followed by Perfection Undercoat prior to painting with Toplac.

Nautiforte every time. Easy to apply, lovely to work and even a half decent amateur can make it look brilliant. Oh and plenty of shades to choose from.

Never heard of Nautiforte. Thanks for that..will take a look and probably give it another week or so until we hit at least 10 degrees...
