What were they thinking ?

really frightening - I wonder if he was lying there for 'fun', or if was standing on the bow, saw the wash approaching and adopted a position so he wouldn't fall off? Out cold by the 2nd wave by the looks of it. Lucky to be alive
 
I can't imagine that helped with the efficiency of any remaining brain cells that were still firing.
What is his encore: holding on to the lower unit of the outboard?

Can't really see any good reason for him to stand on the bow of such a boat under way. Presumably just a "hold my beer" moment, thinking it would make a fun ride.
