What type of paint?

Hello newbie to the forum

My dad decided to get a little old fishing boat to restore,

I'm helping him ,shortly we will be painting the small seating area

The fibre glass has loads of spider cracks and old flakey paint

To paint over the fibre glass should I use an expoxy paint ,and expoxy filler for the cracks ?

No pics shown probably because you are still too new. Not to worry. Grind off the areas with the spider cracks and fill with epoxy filler. Sand flat, prime and paint. A good quality household paint such as Johnson’s will be fine and give a good finish for several years,

Thanks i was thing of using a flowcoat or topcoat but if i can use normal household paint i have some old dulux in the shed
