What type of catamaran is that in the feb YM ARC piccy?

Hi all,

there's a picture of the start of ARC 2004 in the feb Yachting Monthly and there is a blue/black hulled catamaran on the left. Anyone know what type it is?

Is this a 'where's Wally' type puzzle 'cos I can't see nothing but monohulls in that picture.

Maybe its time for my eye test agen!!

looks as though it's a cat but if you look closely at the sprayhood & bimini you can tell it's actually a half-boat.

I thought that too, but if you follow the furling jib down to the bow it appears to end in the sea!

no, the bow is hidden behind the mobo. anyway, if we were seeing half a cat, the bridgedeck would be way too shallow.

Yes you are right. I checked it out with a magnifying glass and the little boat does indeed truncate the view of the bow of the black boat. Shame, in my imagination I could see quite a sexy catamaran based on that view....
