Location is irrelevant for choice of anode although if you are in fresh or brackish water you may want to consider only aluminium - but this is OK for seawater as well and is increasingly becoming the norm. any bow thruster dealer will have anodes, but I get mine from Osmotec at Hamble Point.

Not quite correct: magnesium for fresh, aluminium for brackish and salt, zinc for salt, although aluminium is increasingly popular for salt because it is cheaper to buy, cheaper to post (lighter) and generally held to last longer than zinc. Other opinions are available.
