What to put in your grab bag?

VHF, EPIRB, sea sickness pills, playboy and tissues?

just making one at the moment, ideas please!

I always wondered why people put a GPS in a grab.

I thought that in a liferaft you are at the mercy of the wind and tides, so even if you knew where you where, you couldn't do anything about it. This would be especially the case if it wasn't a chartplotter GPS, cause how would you figure out where your lat/long is.

Can anyone enlighten me on what I have missed.
 
Reminds me of a story from the early days of the Apollo moon programme. At a press conference a female journalist asked if there were plans to send a woman to the moon. The spokesman apparently said deadpan "Not at present maam but we have an allowance for 100 pounds of recreational equipment".
