I will have the opportunity to purchace a boat next year and would like any recommendations for a budget of aroung £35k.
My requirements are based mainly around comfort as that is most important to a certain lady in my life:
Easy to sail for two
~32ft
sleeps 4
modern(ish) lets say 90s and later
Hot shower (the lady's main requirement - no compromise)

Two boats i've been reasearching are:
Feeling 326
Beneteau 32s5 (and yes I do like the interior)

Also does anyone have advice about buying abroad. We would probably keep the baot at a marina in Italy so our marketplace is not restricted to UK.

Any thoughts/advice appreciated

Cheers

I know of a very nice Scanmar 33 for sale. Every bit as much space as the two you mention but differently organised - and you'd have some change left over to add some gear/do some sprucing up! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Has she ever lived aboard a boat before? The 'hot shower' bit is something that rapidly diminishes in importance once she realises that the tank will run cold before she's finished. Presumably she also wants her hairdryer to work. You thus end up in marinas on shorepower, and usually using their showers with more space and lots of hot water.

That aside, both are quite nice boats. Personally I don't much like the 32s5 interiors, though the design has lots of clever detailing.

You must have a very small tank...

Oh - you mean calorifier tank! - I had visions of him going to the heads every few minutes to "pump the bilges" ....
