What the race in the channel today

anyone know what the race is in the channel today ..... quite interesting to watch on the Marine AIS.

thought we were being invaded by the French this morning..... are they mini transats or something.

they crossed from brest area over night to Falmouth flew along the English coast to the needles now making for fecamb area .... all of them going like rockets.

one sailing boat is even marked as a high speed craft in yellow on the AIS

I wonder why none of the boat's names showing on AIS tie up with the boat's names on the tracker page?

The name you see on the Ais is the true name of the boat and if you go on the Figaro race website you see the name of the sponsor
