Every time I try to do anything on this carp website (YBW not the content) I get a busy notification. All I am trying to do is link a few lousy pics (BBcode) from my album to a posting.

I've been getting that message when I've been doing searches.
I found out....quite by accident...that if I do a screen refresh when "busy" comes up that my search results then appear.

I don't know why (the busy message only started to appear a few days ago) but it may be worth trying a refresh.

That works

Thanks, that worked but even then when I typed in BB codes, just got a loat of unrelated junk, will try a quick google.

Same here, just click refresh.

Will try that, I wondered if it was an IE 9 problem as Msoft have been sending out updates almost every day but tried Firefox and got same msg.

Thanks

There is already a lengthy thread about this , where it should be ;) , on the website feedback board

PS How do you link to BB codes to glue a pic on this website

The FAQs tell you how to use the BB codes but if you have selected the "Standard Editor" instead of the "basic Editor" in "Edit options" you will be able to use the "insert image" etc icons rather than tediously typing in the BB codes .

If you host your pictures at Photobucket by using the appropriate line of code the BB code will be inserted automatically.

Thanks

Thanks Vic. I have tried linking to the BB codes in the Album but I keep getting an invalid files error.

Basically I have tried as follows/

Open a session on PBO with a New Post.
Click on manage attachments.
Open a second session of PBO and go to Album.
Open a pic and copy the BB code URL
Go to 1st Session of PBO with the manage attachments open
Paste the BB code URL into the lower box and I get invalid file.

It should not be this difficult but it is the only way I can copy and paste.

I have also tried the same but editing the URL to take out the [image] but that did not work either.

Attachments enable you to upload a picture directly from your computer to a post as a clickable thumbnail. See the FAQs for instructions.

If you have pictures in albums .

Go to the album where the picture is located .
Click on the thumbnail to get the required picture displayed

copy the line of code below it labelled BB Code

Paste that into your post ( it comes complete with the IMG tags)

However the picture must have been moderated before you can use it.

If it has not been I think you will see it but no one else will. There are 8 moderated pictures in your album

picture.php

I am sure I must have told you all this before ... all the pictures look familiar

Thanks, I tried that and it worked on a preview.

Works if you use the back arrow as well.
