A posting I have made on the Thames forum but I would love to know if this is a home grown model or done to a type.

Hi David
Superstructure looks a lot higher though , or is it my eyesight ? and the sweep off astern looks smooth on one but jerky on t'other

Would a bow shot help?

i know this seems childish, but I have just dragged out my remote webcam and I can see fun footage happening in the future. I wonder how well she will handle wake.

Very nice looking boat but I think David and myself agree that it's the superstructure that makes the difference so can't really tell from the bow shot
There are more experts on the BMPT forum but if you're not already a member , do you want me to ask them ?

Have a look here Just scroll down there it one Number 523.
The superstructure is slightly different but not that much.
And the model is flying a W.E.
A very nice model what powers it and is it RC.
Cheers David.

Heavens! I had a look at the 523 photo from OldSalt and she does look familiar. Someone has gone to a lot of effort to build this boat (she is even water cooled) yet I have no provenance.

I won't have time to look her up on other forums, so help would be appreciated.

She may well be a romantic view of what an MTB might look like, and I would be happy even with knowing that.

You could well be right David

As usual I go all gooey over any type of MTB but trust you to throw in the action shot /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif she's a beauty isn't she ? /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Powered by water cooled electric 12V engine with RC. Twin rudder, single prop.

I have a bet on with a local involving him landing his RC helicopter on her...

Brendon , don't let a chopper anywhere near her , far too nice to run the risk of damage
Send a PM to remind me and I'll do it tomorrow night , busy day ahead so off to bed soon

Thank you for your help. I stumbled across this while searching this evening. A 1945 boat sold to the Danes, who then accidentally blew her up /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Sorry guys but if you look at the chines they are very different, the hull on the model looks more of a US type of chine hull but agree with the similarities above deck.
