While I have the boat out of the water I want to put through hulls in for fitting a sea water inlet for a tap, and waste water outlet for a sink - things I want to put in at a later date. I'm thinking DZR, partly for cost, but mostly because trudesign seacocks (which would have been my preference) are a bit big and clumsy for the space I have available.

What sizes do I need to fit? Stupid question I'm sure, but I'm getting completely baffled by all the inches and various bits of inches advertised!

1/2" ball valve and either 13mm or 15mm tail depending on which hose you are using for water (depends on the tap). Probably the same again for the sink although some sink waste outlets are 19mm (3/4" ball valve) so you will need to match that.

try and keep the intake point on the opposite side of the keel to the discharge / toilet outlet if fitted....!

Good point that I had taken into account. Certainly well upwind - not sure I have space to route it from the other side though. No toilet fitted (just a portapotti), though it's worth considering where pipes might go if I changed that.
