..when buying a new boat ?
I'm sure this has been the topic of many articles, and as a newbie here , if i'm tramping over old ground please feel free to redirect me to the relevant threads. I have been snooping round the forums for a while enjoying the sarcasm and educating myself with the many hints and tips that the more experienced amongst you share.
I have had a trailerable boat for a couple of seasons and have thought of moving up to something with cabins that can be moored. My current (and first) boat was bought privately through Gumtree, no surveyors or engineers involved. I have now spotted a few boats with brokers that are a lot bigger than my cuddy cruiser. What are the relevant things to look for and questions to ask when buying through a broker. I don't wish to tread on toes or offend anyone with ridiculous offers, but at the same time we all want to negotiate a great "deal" ?
