what should i add to water in pool to clean sails

i have an old padling pool full of water and was thinking of usung it to clean my old dirty sails what should i add to water
and should i let them soak overnight

Since it going to be cold water I suggest a "Bio" domestic laundry detergent eg Ariel liquid.
I'd certainly let them soak.
If they are white then an "oxy" bleach as well maybe, but not a chlorine bleach.

what about a little oxalic acid or oxiclean and leave overnight

I wouldn't like to add a biological detergent as they don't seem to be very kind to anything metallic on clothing if left to soak. Wouldn't want the bio detergent to attack any of the metal bits on the sails.

Some oxalic acid would be good to treat any rust stains, blood as well probably, but I think I would do those first. Oxiclean is AFAIK just another "oxy" bleach, like Vanish. They contain sodium peroxycarbonate which is essentially a source of hydrogen peroxide
