What Really Happened to the ‘Berserk’?

I don’t think you can read the Berserk by David Mercy without having some respect for 21 year old Jarle sailing to the Antarctic in a 27ft Alvin Vega (with non working outboard).

I think the original Berserk sunk at anchor, can’t remember the circumstances.

Subsequent events have clouded my opinion of him but the book is a very good read.

Do you meet many of these people in real life?

Fortunately, my direct experience of that sort of thing is limited to what I read in the news. I have quite enough with the anti-vaxxers in Milady's family.
