Hi,

Question as title :

Is there a Raymarine instrument which bridges all of ST / STng / NMEA183 so as to permit a heterogenous system with lots of bits from different eras ? Doesn't have to be still available though that is obviously preferable. I know of the various different specific bridges available from R and other suppliers btw, this question is specifically about a R produced *instrument* that does the job.

Thanks,

Boo2

Why not just call Raymarine technical. They are very helpful although I suspect the answer will be no.

Hi Boo Too,
I believe that currently there is'nt a Raymarine device to do what you require.

I've purchased a DMK 11A gps version, which allows translation of Seatalk to NMEA 0183.AIS is accepted at 38000 baud, there is a gps repeater facility to feed the DSC radio, and much more on www.dmkyacht.com No connection with this firm, and not finished the installation yet as the boat is miles away.Next visit will hopefully allow everything on board presently and future instruments to be added.NMEA 2000 is accepted also.Various settings can change the baud rate and there are a max of three wireless listeners allowed.
All outputs are via wi-fi embedded in the unit. The unit is not cheap, but with a strong £ the pain would be lessened(USA outfit)
iPhone works currently to display overlays on iNavX,iPad is dropping out, but I am awaiting news from DMK about this aspect, I feel it will be sorted out soon.
