What polishing pads for da polisher

Can anyone recommend what Velcro pads are best for grp to restore/ polish a link would be good

I've just bought a Halfords one and a Meguiars one to try them out on the car and boat.

Having felt all the different foam hardnesses, I'm not really convinced that any of the open-cell types are different enough to make a huge difference, apart from the "very hard" which seems to be some kind of closed-cell foam and probably only suitable for "grinding" back.

No actual experience yet but I'll probably just stick to "medium"!

Try this... I have used these for many years - very good. The Blue pad is good for general polishing. I found the red too soft.

I have had good results with 3M lambswool pads, white for compounding and yellow for polishing. There are several "how to do it" clips on "you tube", just do a search.

The yellow pads don't seem to be available at the moment - 3M's site has them as 'out of stock'

I be also rockin tha 3M sheepy pads! I be thinkin they is phat value n' last well.
