What paint to use on treadmaster to cheer it up

If its just general dirt and grime..ive used astonish oven cleaner, first boat i had ,20 years old with dated treadmaster on the decks ,i attacked it with a few tubs of this and a hand scrubber and loads of elbow grease (hard got btw!) came up like new!

Use the paint made for the job by Treadmaster! It's expensive but will last you for years. I did mine about three years ago now and the Treadmaster still looks like new. WELL worth spending the extra pennies IMHO. I bought some from another Forumite who had some of the right colour leftover from his job.

Why not post on here asking if anyone has some they don't need or are prepared to share the cost with you. A little of the stuff goes a hell of a long way because it's about the consistancy of water. Excellent product.

No connection etc

Warning! I had some worn treadmaster on the cockpit coaming and elsewhere on a previous boat. I painted it with non-slip deck paint. This looked good and made it very, very non-slip. The problem was it quickly wore away the trouser seat of anyone sitting on the coamng! Elsewhere it was very successful and lasted years.

Er...have seen that people on here seem to think Treadmaster is plastic?!?!? So you can't take their opinions seriously because they've obviously never used the product!!! Its rubber and cork! the best way to rejuvenate Treadmaster is to use their own paint - its a little pricey but does last for years and saves having to do any hard maintenance - just make sure the deck is as clean as possible before you paint. also you could do what I did and possibly change the colour of your deck using their paint! I went from a light grey to blue on my westerley and it looks rather nice if I do say so myself! check out the website www.treadmaster.co.uk
