Assuming that the post was not a wind up, IIRC there was a chimp in USA who walked upright as soon as he was able to move, and exibited a lot of other behaviour that was not very chimp like. Chimp "disappeared when it was suggested that it be DNA tested. suspicion at the time that it was a crossbreed.
There was a TV programme abt this a few years ago, and the chimp had been found. There was no suggestion on the programme that it should undergo DNA tests.

I think the photo source http://www.museumofhoaxes.com/photos/images/Venapeman.jpg kinda gives the game away but I think I saw something like that staggering round the pontoons at Cherbourg - it was wearing a peculiar hat at the time........

could it have something to do with this or perhaps it's something i caught a fleeting glimpse of while leaving the Quality Hotel in Cherbourg.

According to my scientific journals...

Hmmm. I'm not sure. A long time ago, 1904, there was a spooky case where someone in a media business reacted badly to something (scientists don't know what) and suddenly turned into a primate type creature. Sort of like spontaneous human combustion, only it was spontaneous morph-into-a-primate, and without any fire. A very rare event, scientists believe the probability of this happening is about once in a hundred years. There is a technical term for it, forgotten it, dang. I wonder, is this an archive picture of that uncanny event?

Isn't it time that we started to act like adults...Kim is trying to defuse a situation and you seem intent on pouring petrol on the fire.

Re: According to my scientific journals...

As far as I can see there is'nt a "situation" just a very silly person throwing toys out pram, If peeps can't act with a bit of sense, humour and proportion then it is really very sad for them. But do'nt see why such should try and hurt other people. From what I know, at least one poster here has stopped posting due to hate mail via PM and email over the past few days, pretty personal and anonymous stuff. This is what should be suppressed IMHO ..

Re: According to my scientific journals...

Are we not all guilty (some more than others) of inflaming the situation by posting on a subject, which should be long forgotten by now.

The sting was very funny and should have been left as that. The further comments and threads have no place here and have turned an extremely humorous thread and forum into a nasty place.

Lets all get back to sailing and what we do best. Yours jimi is definitely your humorous threads; I can read them all day :)!
