What oil would you recommend for Volvo Penta 2002?

Mineral oil 15w40 is ideal. Any decent quality brand will do. Same grade as for diesel engined cars. Just don't use fully synthetic oil. Any extractor will work fine. The e-bay one looks ideal, just stuff the extractor end through the oil filler and pump out the old stuff. Job done! A bit easier if the engine oil is warm after use.

I bought one of the cheapo extractors on ebay (for a lot less than that). I have only used for water at the moment - it doesn't hold its vacuum any where near as well as a Pela so lots of pumping is required. When I do the oil I shall make sure the oil is quite warm or it won't get up the tube. I haven't checked that the tube is smaller enough for the dipstick on a VP but a bit a tube won't be much.

I like the size to store against the larger Pela but if all I was going to use it for was the oil change then I'd probably buy the real thing - although for several years I've borrowed one.

Mineral 15W/40 is the stuff but not always sold by Halfords and the like - I got it at a local car parts place.

Is this what you have in mind?
