What kind of petrol should I buy from a road-side petrol station? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I've got a 1982 Carver with a pair of 225 horse power Volvo petrol engines.

Cheers.

"the lightest you can find"

I was trying to work that out. What did that mean? And then I realised: "the un-heaviest you can find." /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

So, "cheapest unleaded you can find" - do other petrol driven boat owners concur? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Are these 4 stroke engines? If so, I would guess with them being 24 years old there's a good chance they need 4 star or LRP unless the've had renewed valve gear.
Certainly worth checking up on, cause if they haven't , unleaded can quickly damage them.

I doubt that anything's been done to update them...

Looks Like I'll have to dig out the manual next time I'm on board. Was hoping to pick some petrol up on the way there.
