Ive been on about restoring it over winter anyway but just decided to get started on it lol.

A few quick questions about bits ive found though if anyone knows?

What are these cables for coming out of my control box that arent connected to anything?

And what does this little knob do on the front of my control box?

And last but not least (for now) what is the bottom pipe on the back of my steering wheel boss meant to go to? It looks like its meant to be connected to something but has been cut.

Unconnected wires probably for motor/leg trim.
Funny knob is for throttle lever friction adjustment.
Tube thing is to stop the end of the steering cable flailing around and getting grease on things or snagging your trousers when the helm is hard over.

Im going to take it to nottingham outboard centre next week and see what they suggest. Im goin to give it a good service and change plugs and clean carbs etc anyway.

Be sure to tell them to call you before setting about replacing parts. These things can have a habit of being a "try that bit and see" exercise. That's not a specific dig at the place you are going. Just a suggestion that as long as everyone knows the ground rules, everything should go well.
