what is your write to post ratio? Mine\'s about 2:1

I write about twice as many posts as I actually send. Reasons for not posting include: post is blindingly obvious; post is too grumpy (or even actionable); swmbo would tweak my nose for saying such a thing; I can't spell a crucial word, not even closely enough for the spell-check to get a bite on it...

Now, should I send this post, or not...

About 90% of my posts "make it".

About a quarter of those that make it, get edited.

About 1.10:1. More important for me is the post to deleted post ratio, which is around to 1.11:1. Ultra banal posts like this one often end up in the bin.

Edit: Or the un-edited post to edited-post ratio, which is about 3:1.

The main criteria for deleting a post are: is it more concerned with the medium than the message (like this whole thread); do I have the faintest idea what I'm talking about; and is it truly a valuable or entertaining contribution, or just egotistical twaddle?

About one and a little bit to one. Some evenings though, I'll spend ages picking and cropping a pic I'm pleased with...
