Hi, Sluggish starting has led to the suggestion that I may need a different oil in the saildrive leg of my Yanmar 1GM10.
The filler cap states SAE90. Lighter oil may improve COLD starting. Anyone had this problem?

The manual states, for the LEG itself, which is what I think you asked:

"Use GL4 or GL5 in the API service and SAE90 or 80W-90 EXCEPT Model SD20x1GM10C - which may well be what you have. for that they say "use quality "cc" in the API service and SAE10W30".

I would be surprised if this was causing sluggish starting though - assuming you start in neutral like most people!
