What is the actual name for.....

...the small wooden masts with a tiny 'spreader' often seen on the coachroof of older motoboats? Burgees are often tied to them, or steaming lights are connected to them.

I want to buy one but cannot find the correct google search term! Forgive my ignorance. Any suggestions of suppliers also warmly appreciated.

Not sure it has a specific name i used to have one and it was just called the mast, try flagstaff, burgee mast, flag holder etc...

they are called powerboat masts available in teak from ARC Marine here:

Often (probably wrongly) called "Signal masts".
I'll make you one in timber if you can't find anything suitable.
