What is it and can I find a use for it?

Thought this would make a change from Where is it postings. Maybe this could be a new trend to show specialist items out of context.
I am a surgeon. In the course of operating, we have a couple of these spare at the end of the operation. Can anyone guess what it is? Please note that it has NOT been contaminated with body fluids

More importantly, there must be some use I could put this to on the yacht, I just cannot think what - so need some suggestions preferably not offensive!

Erm... you need to clear out one of your other photobucket shots ;):D You could string some together as a seagull scarer... sell on them on Chandlers for £49.99, bargain!

Disposable handle for moving around the overhead theater operating lights. Maybe could be used to go onto the end of a hot barbecue poker.

For the avoidance of doubt, did you have a sneaky peek at pic 4? :D:D

No I didn't realize there were more than these two photos until you mentioned it. Actually my wife had an op just before Christmas and regrettably came out of hospital with a nasty infection.
Fortunately we think its all cleared up now, but it did get me thinking about all hospital sterilization items. By chance there was a TV program the other day showed the inside of a theater and hanging down was this green handle thing, then put 2 and 2 together.

Fair play, sorry to hear about your wife and glad she's on the mend:) Does make you wonder what bugs there might be on the OP's keyboard:eek:

In which case "Stolen from the NHS", or at least taken out the packet needlessly since it wasn't then used. Don't tell your Manager - you might be cut!
(Glad it wasn't contaminated - otherwise your laptop would have needed a full virus scan!)
