What information is held by the register when a boat is recovered on part 1.

I know the basics such as make, model, year, owner.

When a mortgage is registered do they record the amount if the mortgage?
Is any record made of the purchase price where recorded on the bill of sale?

As I am sure you know, all the forms are on the Gov.uk website. I don't know about the mortgage issue, but IIRC, no info about purchase price is shown on a Part 1 certificate.

At the risk of stating the obvious - why not just ask the registry themselves?

I only ask as they take a copy of the Bill of sale which has the price on it

It's not what's on the cert but what's held on the register.

That is only because they want evidence of the title you are registering. They would not disclose the price to anybody, although of course when you sell the buyer will see it as he needs the Bill of Sale to show you have title. Better not to have the consideration on the bill in the first place, but if it is already there, little you can do about it.

Ocean Belle had been part 1 registered, but it had been allowed to lapse by her owner. When I asked about re-establishing it I was told She would have to be measured again. I will PM you a copy of the last record I received when I bought her.

I opted for SSR, but there was no mortgage. Might be worthwhile contacting Lombard in Southampton and ask what they require when financing.
