Not really going to make much difference in most areas as farmers, householders and most pest controllers can't tell the difference between Voles and young Rats. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
They've been protected under the Wildlife and Countrside act for years as a non target species and Rats will do well in similar environments.

the problem isn't humans killing them it's the foreigners introduced years ago, Mink escaping from mink farms that are wiping out the natives!
