When we had the old forum there was Roach and Monkey Trousers? Where are they now?

I think Monkey Trousers gave up with the fising boat and sold it on.

Anyone else missing?

Saw Roach (the boat) in Everson's yard in Woodbridge a couple of months back, looking rather sad for herself. Meant to ask if anybody had heard from Tudor recently..

Post 117; the yachtsman formerly known as Roach is alive and well and living under the name of Rosie. In fact preparing to notch up Rosie's (the boat's) "n"th Transatlantic. Presented me with Hum Barton's Staines Model Roaster (mint condition, unused) in exchange for some B&G spares, the other day. To judge by the contents of Rosie's numerous and capacious lockers, Hum Barton believed in being prepared for every eventuality (and/or was a dreadful pack rat!) ;)

For those who have read the Cooke Booke and want to know what a Staines Model Roaster looks like in the flesh (well, in the enamel), here it is:

Perfect partner for a Rippingille?

At the Stores I asked for a No. 3 Rippingille stove, and was confronted with a formidable and hideous piece of ironmongery, which burned petroleum in two capacious tanks, horribly prophetic of a smell of warm oil. I paid for this miserably, convinced of its grim efficiency

Roach/Rosie/Tudor last seen on Sunday working very hard rubbing down his mast while propping up the bar at the Butt and Oyster - now that's multi-tasking.
