as lescargot says this was done to death a couple of years ago but out of completeness I can confirm the boats were incredibly close and a photo of grey paint on Vela's bow rail was submitted as evidence of contact.

That wasn't anything to do with zig zagging - they blew that up deliberately and it took the 2 attempts didn't it? It had also been run aground and set fire to, I don't think there are many motorboats that would have survived all that and before being taken to the boat show and then sent off for repair...
