Can anyone help me??

I was wondering if anyone could identify my gearbox and let me know what oil I should use in it? The gearbox is coupled to a BMC 1.5 engine.

The gearbox has a plate on it which reads:-
NEWAGE Coventry
901066 R0044
101SVR2 (although the S could be an 8)

I was told I could use normal engine oil in but I am not sure..

Can you help please?

Thanks
Mike.

Thanks guys,

I went to Newage and they told me my gearbox is a PRM101 that runs on normal engine oil and that my box was shipped in 1981 and they are pleased to hear it's still going.

Thanks

Mike.

Defiately a PRM101. I have one it will have an oil cooler and is probably a 2/1 reduction. It has a mechanism which allows you to lock it in gear to get you home if the hydraulics fail. I have the owners handbook if you have any specific questions.
Similar size /performance to a PRM160.
Spare clutches etc are available from <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.asap-supplies.com>ASAP</A>
